I wanted to update our readers on some feedback received concerning the recent changes to our e-edition. By far the biggest concern people raised was the lack of a clipping tool in the new e-edition. The clipping tool allowed you to cut out and save, print, or email a portion of a page. We have requested our vendor review this functionality and get back to us with an estimate as to when they can include similar functionality.

In the mean time we want to address the most cited reason for using the clipping tool. Cutting out and printing the crossword puzzle. Starting today, we will have the last seven crossword puzzles available as a separate download configured to print on an 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.

Here is a fairly easy 5-step method to work around this.
(1) In your browser, scroll so that the area you want to clip displays on your screen. (If you need more space to get it on your screen, set your browser to "Full Screen" view.
(2) Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. (This copies the entire screen you're viewing.)
(3) Open your photo management software, such as Paint, Photoshop, etc.
(4) Open a "New" blank page, document, canvas (or whatever your photo management software calls it), then select and click "Paste". (An exact image of what you are seeing in your browser screen from step 2 should then appear.)
(5) In your photo management software, find the "Crop" tool, then select the area you want to clip, and click "Done" (or some similar term, depending on your software).
And..there you should have it. You can then print or save as you'd like. Hope this helps.

Sorry Rebecca, currently the best information I have is the feature is planned for a future release.

Any more news on the clipping tool? I really miss this feature and would welcome any changes that are possible
