I’ve got just about a month to get ready for my tests and I feel like I need to try a new approach. Last year I did flashcards but I felt like it was too slow because I could never finish studying what I planned. I’ve got my own notes and notes from my professors as well. Plus, our textbooks are pretty good. I just think there’s a lot to review and I need a smart way to do it. Also, I studied ok throughout the term so it’s not like I am coming in with zero knowledge. Just need a system. Any suggestions?

I don’t remember what it’s called but I learned about it my first year of college and been using it since even outside school. Basically you need to explain the material in simpler words as if you were teaching a middle school student. It should work well for you since you said you already know some stuff. So just go over your materials and explain all the concepts to yourself in your own words. It doesn’t really work for dates and names though so you will have to just remember those.
Color code your notes by categorizing the info. Like a term would be pink, a formula yellow. This way it would be easier to review and recall the info during the test. At least it is for me
Mind maps are pretty effective just come up with the visualization method that works best for you. I personally do one for each class with all the topics and details around it. I like to do it on poster paper but there are probably apps/sites for that ass well.
