What is the best app for taking notes?

I always struggled with taking notes in class, especially by hand because my handwriting is impossible to read. I then started using google docs on my chromebook but it all got very messy really fast. So I checked to see what apps are there for this and found a few.

The thing is though, I am not sure which one to go with. I want the most straightforward and simple one.
1. OneNote
2. Google Keep
3. Notion
4. Evernote
5. Bear
6. Slite
7. Standard Notes
8. Ulysses
9. Typora

Do you use any of these? Or maybe there’s another app that I didn’t see?

I used to always take notes in google docs too until it went out of control. Now, I use notion. It’s very straightforward, you can use it from your phone or laptop. My favorite thing is the dashboard-looking view where you can see all your classes. You can also use tags, color code, and set deadlines for assignments.

I just use Apple notes on my iPad they have all the features from most these apps but it just comes for free on your phone so you can access it whenever you want.

Evernote for sure! It supports all formats so you can just review the professor’s powerpoints directly. There’s also a scanner option so you can take pictures of textbook pages or your own handwritten notes. VERY VERY effective app.

If you are going for anything above bachelor’s, it makes sense to pay for Roam research. The app helps to create an entire network of knowledge with sources and links that comes in extremely handy when you write long papers.
