I sincerely admire people who speak English on top of their native language. Like truly. But I also have no idea what my professor is saying half of the time. Not gonna mention his nationality because I don’t wanna sound racist. But like what do I do?

Omg that’s so frustrating! And the worst thing is that you can’t really do anything. Other than maybe find classmates who understand him better and stick with them until the end of the class.

I have an audio processing disorder and mild ADHD. So my solution to a heavy accent teacher was taking her class twice. There were no other options.
I went through the same with one of my favorite professors. He’s Thai and English is not even his second but like fifth language. I found it a lot easier to understand him once I took some time to get to know him personally by talking to him over breaks and stuff.
