Use these tips to craft a perfect common app essay.
1. Don’t be afraid to get personal. Your past experiences, thoughts, and achievements or failures are the reflection of your personality. It’s ok for this essay to be personal.
2. Mix in some humor. Everyone loves a good laugh. Plus, it can help your essay be more memorable next to dozens of similar stories about extra-curricular activities and academic victories. Don’t overo it, though.
3. Follow a logical and effective struture. While common app essays aren’t entirely academic, they’ll be evaluated by similar principles. Make sure to state your points clearly and don’t forget a catching intro and an insightful conclusion.
